The wait is almost over for fans of Life Is Strange 2, as the next installment in the series is just around the corner. After the events of episode two, players will be able to dive into the third chapter, titled Wastelands, on May 9th.

According to a synopsis provided by Dontnod and Square Enix, this new entry will take place a few months after the previous episodes and will continue to follow Sean and Daniel Diaz's journey to Mexico. The story is expected to be quite intense, as the brothers find themselves on opposite sides of the law, possibly even splitting up permanently.

In Wastelands, the Diaz brothers will venture into the fringes of society and befriend a close-knit community of runaways and vagabonds in the forests of California. They will also take part in illegal activities related to substance trade, which will undoubtedly lead to some difficult choices for players.

The wait may not be over for all fans, however, as those in Japan and Australia will have to wait until May 10th to get their hands on Wastelands. The good news is that the episode will be available on consoles and PC simultaneously, so everyone can experience it at the same time.

Dontnod has also provided an image via their official Twitter account, announcing that Wastelands will launch on May 9th at 9:01 AM PDT, or 12:01 PM EST. Get ready to deal with more negative Nellys in the Pacific Northwest as Life Is Strange 2 returns this week.
